Jana was in charge of staff development
and curriculum alignment as well as student teachers and substitute teachers
for the Independence School District. She enjoys reading, walking, visiting
the lake and playing with her grandkids.
With a long record of community service, Jana currently is involved in
Neewollah ticket sales and PEO hospitality. She serves as the secretary
of Investors Limited and works in various activities at the First United
Methodist Church and is vice president of United Methodist Women. Shaver
serves on the city historic preservation committee through the Independence
Museum and is a member of the Independence Community College Board of
Trustees.
