Giving Opportunities
The Foundation welcomes the opportunity to
work with individuals and families who wish to help continue the mission
of Mercy Health Center. Funds for the Foundation are generated through
a variety of giving tools and the development staff is available to work
with you to accomplish your philanthropic goals. Other programs offered
through the Mercy Health Center Foundation include:
Capture the Spirit
Gala - The annual gala is the premier social event and fundraiser
in Fort Scott. The gala is held annually the last weekend before Labor
Day in August. For the past 13 years, the gala has provided an enjoyable
evening of fine dining, music and dancing while enabling the purchase
of more than a half million dollars of equipment for the Health Center.
Body, Mind and Spirit Women's Symposium
- The Foundation sponsors annually a symposium designed for just women.
The evening is free and includes food, prizes, t-shirts and a panel discussion
led by health care professionals. It is just one of the ways the Foundation
is able to give back to t he community. Support from the community is
always welcome to support the symposium.
Memorial Contributions - Contributions
may be made in memory of a loved one or to honor a valued friend or family
member. Gifts of any size are welcomed. A "Tree of Life" is
displayed in Mercy Health Center to commemorate gifts of $250 or more.
Special naming opportunities for large gifts are available throughout
the Health Center.
Deferred Gifting - Through this program,
donors are able to design a gift to meet their personal financial needs
as well as those of the Mercy Health Center. Financial planners are available
to the Foundation to consult with individual donors about the various
investment options. For more information, please call the Foundation office
at 620-223-7026 or click the Fort Scott button above under Contact Us.
